Responsibilities
The Head of Collection Management is responsible for the planning, development, preservation and management of all materials acquired for the library's collections, including Special Collections and the Library Archives.
The Head of Collection Management also:
- Coordinates the activities of library liaisons in support of collection development and management and actively participates in the Library Liaison program. All collection development activities are coordinated in consultation with appropriate library personnel;
- Established policies and oversees library collection development operations including approval plan firm and standing orders, electronic resources and gifts management;
- Manages the collections budget; establishes and recommends budget priorities and fund allocations.
