Didn't find what you need at Columbia? Try these options.
ILLINOIS ACADEMIC LIBRARIES
Did you know that your Columbia College Chicago ID card (with library barcode sticker) allows you to borrow books from other libraries in Illinois? See list of libraries
You have two options.
- Go to the library with your ID card and check out the book in-person. Before you go, make sure you have a Library barcode on the back of your card.
- Go to the I-Share Catalog or enter your search here:
- Find the item you want to borrow and click on the title to open the record.
- Click on the
button at the top of the screen and follow the instructions to submit your request.
- The item you requested will be sent to the Columbia College Library. We will notify you when the item is ready for pick-up.
NATIONWIDE LIBRARIES
Search WorldCat to find books owned by libraries nationwide.
- Find the item you want to borrow and click on the title to open the record.
- Click on the ILL button
at the top of the screen and fill out the form to submit your request.
NOTE: For the Patron ID field, please enter your 14 digit library barcode.
- The item you requested will be sent to the Columbia College Library. We will notify you when the item is ready for pick-up.
