Borrowing & Requesting Slides

Borrowing Slides (Faculty only)

  • Faculty members must register with the VRC to check out slides. To register, stop by the VRC with a faculty ID and fill out a form. Once registered, instructors can pull slides for classroom use and sign them out. (Detailed information on choosing slides and checkout procedures can be found in the VRC).
  • Slides may be checked out for 24 hours. Prompt return of slides makes them available to other faculty who may need them at the same time. This is especially important for survey course slides.
  • Slides may be returned to the VRC or to the Library Circulation Desk, located on the first floor. Slides must not be returned via book drop bins, interoffice mail, or any method other than the one outlined above.

Requesting Slides (Faculty Only)

The VRC has discontinued slide production; only digital image requests will be processed.
  • To have digital images shot, instructors must fill out a Digital Image Request form (located at the entrance to the VRC). Completed forms and source material should be submitted to the VRC.
  • Turnaround time is up to 3 weeks.
